well hello again to my readers, as scarce as you may be! :)

i know i claimed i would post again after finals were over but it became a crazy month & i finally have more than 12 seconds to myself, so here is a very long & complicated compilation of the things i have done since December 5th.

1. I completed semester one here at Marquette with a solid GPA! woot.

2. I realized my favorite kind of people on planet earth are nerdy math lovers with no shame... like me.

3. After finals week was over, my roommate caroline and her boyfriend vincent stayed at my house for 3 days. His flight didn't leave until after the weekend so we decided to make an event out of it. this weekend included lots of laughs, driving, food, coffee, and SLEEP! they don't tell you how tired you will be after finals week. it was kind of insane. Here is a picture of vincent and pepper. I dont know why this happened.

4. After they both went home, I immediately started working. a lot! like.... a lot!

5. I spent lots of time with my favorite person on earth. :)

so, this past weekend, I went home to see Cami off to the airport early Sunday morning.

(she's in Israel! Until December. Which is way too long by the way)

anyway, while I was home I realized I had forgotten a few things about it.

1. The water pressure in the shower doubles as a massage. & I love it.

2. I don't have to use all my might to open the bathroom door! The knob works like a charm (unlike the one here... many bathroom lock-in scares. especially for my roommate!).

3. I don't have to ask to turn off the lights!

4. I can visit Jesse at work when I want to.

5. There's no good place to do homework (hence the visiting jesse's starbucks).

6. There's a lot of food to eat.

7. I CAN TAKE NAPS!!!! whoa.

8. I have more shoes than I remember.

9. There's a dog that loves me.

christmas time!

Christmas might be my favorite time of year.

& that's a recent decision because i usually can't make up my mind, 

because i really like all times of the year.

(except summer... too hot!)

anyway

this christmas we only had a couple people over (like usual actually)

& it ended up being really fun.

some of my favorite gifts were...

the boots on the left are the ones i've been waaaaiting for! i love them!

the dress on the right is from the ever so lovely carolyn duff. she knows me so well!

after that, we took short walk to my sister's apartment!

she loves me so much she even fed me pomegranate!

crazy birthday week

its that time of year again where jesse & julia celebrate their birthdays!!

its so weird to think that this time last year we had only been dating for 5 months.

we thought we knew each other so well :)

anyways as part of jesse's gift this year i took him to one of his favorite places ever!

SIX FLAGS!

along for the ride were my two sisters, cami & maggie, 

and all my local cousins aka lanie, kevin, joey, & frank!

it was also franks birthday.

he turned 16 which is weird.

and he's kind of a stud which is even weirder.

while at six flags, joe won a purple squid hat which most of us traded off wearing

all. day. long.

at one point someone dropped the hat & we all knew it.. but we just kept walking 

because honestly it's a little bit weird... then lanie (being responsible) went to go 

pick it up. it just so happens we had almost just made a little girl's day & she

was going to go pick it up. way to go lanie.

i also got jesse PLATINUM SCRABBLE...

possibly the greatest gift you can give.

we then proceeded to play in starbucks (again). it happens a lot.

for my present, jesse got me these CUTE shoes i've been wanting so badly.

enjoy the cuteness of the shoe.

he also got me scarf & apparently has something big planned in october.. a date! 

pumped for that... no idea what it is!

maggie did this for my birthday :) love her.

aaaand my mom definitely took these from a party she went to...

she says she had permission... im not so sure. ;)

either way i think they're pretty & i will take them.
