this past weekend was our good friend cory's 19th birthday...

so naturally Carolyn & bought him the greatest presents ever.

i don't think he was ready for this.

i kinda wish you could've been there shopping with us. 11pm.. walmart... good times!

(do not worry... gift receipts were given)

oh but the fun doesn't stop there!

i found out that my friends make great faces

 all those picture happened at 10pm.

then we went to walmart.

but on the way we found out cory is a really good singer:

1. carolyn: "let's just play the weirdest music for cory when he gets in the car. like this one"

        *weird gangster song*   carolyn starts twitching to the beat.

2. *cory gets in the car* 

    us: "hey cory!!!" *in the background- "milk & cereal milk & cereal cereal & milk! cereal & milk!"

3. julia: "carolyn tell him the story of when we were buying his brezents." *hoping they dont realize i said brezents instead of presents*

   carolyn: "OH YEAH so we were buying your brezents..."

   cory: "why are you guys calling them brezents...?"

   me: "we're not..."

   cory: "ok someone said brezents"

4. *while opening presents (brezents?)*

   cory: "guys why did you buy me a loufa?! im not gay!"

   carolyn: "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT it scrubs all the dirt off! my dad uses one!"

   julia: "we looked for a purple one..."

5. cory: "i dont eat red popsicles because i dont want to stain my teeth"

   Julia: "& you say you're not gay"

6. carolyn: "what song should i play?"

   cory: can you play shiny teeth i love that song! i sang it when i was MCing and i was so good."

7. cory & julia: "carolyn get in this cart!"

   carolyn: "ok!!"

   *walmart employees walk buy* 

   Julia: "QUICK act special"

8. carolyn: "i used to climb in these racks"

   julia: "can you please do that right now"

*after peer pressure she gets on the shelf & couple walks in needing pet food, i try to cover her up, doesnt work, they look behind me*

julia: "i gotta go"

*carolyn peeks out* "hiiiii!!!"

crazy birthday week

its that time of year again where jesse & julia celebrate their birthdays!!

its so weird to think that this time last year we had only been dating for 5 months.

we thought we knew each other so well :)

anyways as part of jesse's gift this year i took him to one of his favorite places ever!

SIX FLAGS!

along for the ride were my two sisters, cami & maggie, 

and all my local cousins aka lanie, kevin, joey, & frank!

it was also franks birthday.

he turned 16 which is weird.

and he's kind of a stud which is even weirder.

while at six flags, joe won a purple squid hat which most of us traded off wearing

all. day. long.

at one point someone dropped the hat & we all knew it.. but we just kept walking 

because honestly it's a little bit weird... then lanie (being responsible) went to go 

pick it up. it just so happens we had almost just made a little girl's day & she

was going to go pick it up. way to go lanie.

i also got jesse PLATINUM SCRABBLE...

possibly the greatest gift you can give.

we then proceeded to play in starbucks (again). it happens a lot.

for my present, jesse got me these CUTE shoes i've been wanting so badly.

enjoy the cuteness of the shoe.

he also got me scarf & apparently has something big planned in october.. a date! 

pumped for that... no idea what it is!

maggie did this for my birthday :) love her.

aaaand my mom definitely took these from a party she went to...

she says she had permission... im not so sure. ;)

either way i think they're pretty & i will take them.
