1. time with family. i loved this thanksgiving because i did absolutely nothing with the people i love. that felt good. below is one of these people:

this is the part of the blog where i update you with all the recent photos from my phone. 

this first one is my stats teacher. it's not the best picture obviously... but you may

be able to tell that she is wearing a hat/pigtails/headband.

it was western day.

i think someone needs to ban teachers from participating.

this next one is a VERY good friend of mine. 

i introduce you to one of the many caitlin faces. caitlin goes to school in Missouri (boo)

so i don't get to see her. good thing we're pen pals!

the above picture is jesse... we were eating at maggianos, 

i love him & stuff but honestly this picture scares me.

i do not know what was going on here but i know it involved frank, pepper, and a 

spiderman towel so clearly this is a happy picture.

i had coffee with HER the other day!!!

& i loved it.

so one time, my good friend carolyn & i went to visit our other friend cory at his house!

cory goes to UWW (1 hour away) & so we never get to see him.

the problem was he was really only home for his brother's birthday (ironically, the same 

day as jesse & frank's) but we REALLY wanted to see him so we stopped in with a 

card & candy bar for his brother. that's normal right? anyway it was very super extremely

awkward because we didn't know any of his family & we just stood in his back yard.

we left after about 4 minutes. 

anyway to relieve the tension we treated ourselves to pie & all was well in the world

of carolyn & julia. we both got our favorites, me: oreo, carolyn: peanut butter.

crazy birthday week

its that time of year again where jesse & julia celebrate their birthdays!!

its so weird to think that this time last year we had only been dating for 5 months.

we thought we knew each other so well :)

anyways as part of jesse's gift this year i took him to one of his favorite places ever!

SIX FLAGS!

along for the ride were my two sisters, cami & maggie, 

and all my local cousins aka lanie, kevin, joey, & frank!

it was also franks birthday.

he turned 16 which is weird.

and he's kind of a stud which is even weirder.

while at six flags, joe won a purple squid hat which most of us traded off wearing

all. day. long.

at one point someone dropped the hat & we all knew it.. but we just kept walking 

because honestly it's a little bit weird... then lanie (being responsible) went to go 

pick it up. it just so happens we had almost just made a little girl's day & she

was going to go pick it up. way to go lanie.

i also got jesse PLATINUM SCRABBLE...

possibly the greatest gift you can give.

we then proceeded to play in starbucks (again). it happens a lot.

for my present, jesse got me these CUTE shoes i've been wanting so badly.

enjoy the cuteness of the shoe.

he also got me scarf & apparently has something big planned in october.. a date! 

pumped for that... no idea what it is!

maggie did this for my birthday :) love her.

aaaand my mom definitely took these from a party she went to...

she says she had permission... im not so sure. ;)

either way i think they're pretty & i will take them.
